Move your sim to an empty lot.
Put up a wall. Now place the basic things like a toilet, shower, sink, grill, kitchen counter, anything that cannot be spared.
Now, you are not allowed to have any closed rooms on the lot.
No basements
not moving to a real house on another lot. Your sim will have to live on this lot until the end of his/her days.
You may earn money on every possible way you can think of, other than a real job. You cannot have a job like in the community, but you may be self employed in painting, inventing, writing etc.
Another thing, you cannot have a computer, or an office table/chair, so if you need to use a computer you have to go to the library or a friends house.
Your lot have to be open to others, so they can come and go as they please, just like on a community lot. Which means, you may not reject their visit. They are not guests anymore, they are visitors on your “community/home” lot.
